The major fashion houses are still not getting it – or are they?

This makes for sad reading – and it’s not like it was written a few years ago – nope, this was written this month. Personally, I don’t believe it’s that they don’t think there is a market for them in the plus size community. I think it’s because they just don’t WANT to be worn by anybody who’s plus size. If you can discriminate on cost and weight then that makes you all the more exclusive. It also makes you not worthy of any money you make (I was going through a gamut of mild to the more severe expletives at this point, but decided against it). Funny thing is – they’re ok with you wearing their makeup, using their handbags, buying their shoes. Just not their clothes – that seems to be just a step too far. Well, if I can’t buy your clothes then I don’t want to wear your makeup, and I’ll take my money elsewhere.

Too fat for fashion?

by LUCIE BRIGHTY, Evening Standard I love fashion – I even work on a glossy magazine – and so, when I received an invitation to a swanky party this weekend, I decided to splash out on a new designer dress. I set off down Bond Street armed with a credit card and the latest issue of Vogue.
